West Oak Design offers small batch and one of a kind goods sustainably handcrafted by Christie Sommers in her Wyndmoor, PA home studio. Christie is a full-time homeschooling mama. West Oak Design is one of her spare time creative outlets.  Gardening, pottery, basketmaking, baking, and playing drums are a few others.

"My most recent collection includes garments made with vintage, post-consumer, and deadstock textiles. Any scrap fabric that remains after the cut/sew process (mostly neck holes and selvedge edge) are sewn into my unique line of fiber jewelry and fine art pieces. My production methods create zero landfill waste."

A selection of handmade goods are currently available at Poppy + Bean, and a collaboration with the Philadelphia Museum of Art is currently available in the Modern Store at the museum's West Entrance.
